Why The Harbinger is Perfect for Book Clubs
There’s something magical about a book club. A story takes on new life when it’s shared, discussed, debated and savored with others. As an author, nothing excites me more than the thought of readers sitting together, maybe with a glass of wine or a favorite bourbon in hand, and diving into the world of The Harbinger, A Triquetra Chronicle.
This story was written with layers meant to spark conversation:
Dual timelines that weave between present-day and 16th-century England
Mystical and historical threads like the Witchcraft Act of 1563 and early gnostic practices
Themes of friendship, memory and calling that often resonate differently with each reader
In short, it’s a story that rewards discussion; the kind of book that leaves you asking, what would I have done?
To make it easy for book clubs, I’ve created a free downloadable discussion guide on my website. You can also get access to a curated playlist to set the mood while you read (if you sign up for email!).
And here’s the part I’m most excited about: I’m offering to join your book club for a live conversation (virtually or in person when possible). These discussions let me hear your perspectives firsthand, and it gives readers a chance to ask questions, peek behind the curtain of the writing process, and share how the story connected with them.
If your book club is looking for a fresh, layered read, I’d love for you to bring The Harbinger to the table. And if you’re not in a book club yourself, consider sharing this post with a friend who is. Sometimes, the best way for a book to find its people is through one simple recommendation.
